  • In-house servicesWe conveniently provide services for counselling, physiotherapy, podiatry, hearing assessments, midwifery and ultrasounds at the practice, meaning you don’t have to travel to alternate venues.
  • Minor surgery: Dr. Alam provides this service to remove any 'lumps or bumps' you may have. An appointment with Dr. Alam is needed before this procedure takes place.
  • Diabetic clinic: Ran by Nurse Dolce, all diabetics are monitored periodically and given routine blood tests and advice on medication and diet.
  • Heart and stroke disease: As part of promoting a healthy lifestyle, we are keen to assess and advise on the risk factors affecting these diseases.

  • Epilepsy: Dr. Alam is available to counsel patients with regards to medication and management of this condition.
  • Child health/baby clinics: Routine developmental checks are carried out from the age of 6 weeks. Immunisations, as recommended by the Department of Health for under 5s, are carried out by a doctor during this clinic. An appointment is required.
  • Maternity care: All doctors provide pre-natal, antenatal and post-natal care. Post-natal checks are carried out 6 weeks after the birth.
  • New patient check: Upon joining the practice, patients will be expected to attend an appointment for a routine health check and an opportunity to discuss any on-going problems and treatments with the Practice Nurse.
  • Smoking cessation clinic: This can be arranged via an appointment with the Practice Nurse.
  • Vaccinations: Tetanus and polio vaccinations are available to adults and older children. Influenza is available on a yearly basis to patients over the age of 65 and those considered ‘at risk’. Pneumonia vaccinations are also available for those over 75 and also patients in an ‘at risk’ group.
  • Travel vaccinations: Vaccinations as recommended by the School of Tropical Medicine, are available. There may be a charge for these – please ask at reception.
